Ambassadors of Compassion volunteers can organize their volunteer activities through local chapters. Chapters will host service programs to learn about compassion and to turn the knowledge into action and transform themselves into more compassionate individuals and more compassionate communities. Chapters will meet according to a schedule they set for study and service.
IIPC will provide interfaith training materials and resources for chapters to learn more about compassion and service in different religious traditions. IIPC will also help chapters by matching them with partner organizations that are in need of volunteers to organize their volunteer service events. Chapters will be able to connect with other chapters on joint initiatives and also to compete in hours of volunteer service. Regional service retreats will be held periodically to allow for events of studying, reflection and service. Active Ambassadors of Compassion may also qualify for international service trips. Awards for outstanding chapters will be presented during the IIPC Peace Summit.
